Minnows are the way to go for crappie
if your into catching a slightly bigger sunfish then go right on ahead. but i prefer big bass or pike ect

@ Hatchetman6971 – The Ohio state record white crappie was 18 and a half inches ,caught in 1995 at a private pond.
If you caught a 20 incher you caught a state record more than likely. Check the Ohio dnr website to see for yourself.
I wanted to tell you that there’s this lake in Logan Ohio, called Lake Logan. I fish all the time in bass tournaments. It has the best, biggest crappie in it. It’s nothing to =catch 18 to 20 inch crappies everyday. It’s a wonderful lake.
