www.thundermistfishingtips.com Hello folks, This week Ivo and Antonio take you out for some sunset crappie fishing from a small boat, close to shore. Ivo shows you some important tips on how to set up your rig specially to catch more crappie. They use a combination of baits live minnows, small crankbaits, and even a little tub jig. Though one of them performs the best. As always, good fishin’! www.thundermistfishingtips.com

@gnomehater63 The big floats would be much harder for the fish to pull down & therefore may hook themselves – good tactic, thanks for sharing!

  8. gnomehater63 says:

uhg stupid keyboard i meant to say well when i like to use big old fashioned bobber because i find they sort of set the hooks on themselves and i get more fish, but whatever works for you

@GreyGooseVodka555 Thanks for sharing this tip! Good fishing!

What I usually do for fishing for crappie is using just a stick bobber and a hook. Setting the bobber about 2-4ft depending on the depth of the water. Why no split shot? Bcuz you can feel/see when the fish hits more. Plus the weight of the bobber is more than enough to go to the length of these fishes live.

@GrandmasterTitties Thanks for tuning in and good luck on the water :)

@AwesomeWweThemeSongs You can run your tube jig 3 – 4 feet below your bobber and cast you line out. Once yuor jig as settled, pull your line towards you about 3 feet and this will force your tube jig to swing towards you. Continue with this and then cast out and repeat. you should do great!
